Diary of a haggard mother-Cute birthday wishes

my little poppits

It’s still monday, which means I’ve just made it to link up with olivers mad house to share this magic moment!

The title of this post sounds innocent enough I know, but don’t be fooled by those cute looking faces, (ok maybe just a bit!)

Recently it was my birthday, I had a great day and any mum loves cards from her kids don’t they? well how about this one:

Roses a red, violets are blue, poo is brown and so are you!

Don’t you just love my darling littlehorrorspoppits, they’ve sure got this mumma wrapped right around those cute little fingers!

yay! littlepoppits is back!

Aside

Oops I fell of the blogging radar, again! I’m guessing I might always be like a little mole popping in and out! But hey, I was pleased as punch to find two surprises waiting for me, yay! I am the lucky winner of knitxpressions amazing giveaway, and also the gorgeous Antionette over at Fashion and fun after 50 nominated me for a super sweet award, how cool is that for a welcome back to blogging!

In my defence this time I have a good excuse, we’ve been on holiday to Portugal. We had such a great time and didn’t want to come home, I’m glossing over Hollie nearly choking to death on a sweet and Josh falling on the marble floor and getting concussion, but that’s just how we roll!

Looking forward to checking out what all you gorgeous chums have been up to, so look out for a cute little mole heading your way soon!

Magic moment time!

Aside

I’m back and checking in with The oliver’s madhouse to share another magic moment with you guys! I love this link as it always makes me see how lucky I am to have so many!

This is my Joshua’s on his First Holy Communion. We had heaps of fun with family and friends and soon forgot about how manic it was to get everything ready!

As for Josh, well just look at him angelic and smart, there’s got to be some magic going on there!

angelic and smart!

May already, how did that happen?

I’m linking up with cherry blossom rain each month to look back on what we got up to and catch some memories!

Here’s our picture version!

I’m trying hard to keep up with this blogging malarkey, and what a cool way this is!

Over at the olivers madhouse they hold a magic moment linky on mondays, where you share a magic moment.

Mine is my littlepoppits, sometimes they can drive this mumma crazy, but I love em to bits and they are always and forever my magic moments.

saving the planet and mummys bum! part 2

Featured

Ok so I dropped off the blogging radar for a while there (again), but hey I’ve been working my butt off literally!

SAM_0367

Hey guy’s remember back in part 1 I joined a cool running group on facebook, 5k a day keeps the fat at bay! The challenges are bronze: 5k per week in one run, silver run a total of 35k per week, gold run 5k every day.

I found silver works best for me and I’ve just finished week 5, for a butt busting total of 175k so far. Join in with me here, it’ll be fun!

I’m still not sure how I’m doing this!!??, but I’m starting to love it! I’m even thinking of signing up to a local half marathon. (If you can hear laughter right now that’ll be my proper cheeky family) Tell you what though, this girl is so gonna show em!

As for my bum, well I can’t share a snap just yet cos it still looks like this:

about the size of 2x rhinoceros’ bums!

Diary of a haggard mother: mothers day memories

Featured

I always seem to keep my cards out for as long as possible, but today I started to move them to make way for our Easter wishes. My card from my youngest caught my eye and I remembered her little poem and figured I would share it with you.

She’s quite the poet, but not so much a conventional one!

roses are red, violets are blue, (sorry about this), I like to pee in the toilet, so you should too!

from Hollie, p.s some mummy fun!

saving the planet and mummy’s bum!

I lost my blogging mojo for a bit there, but yay it’s back!

SAM_0367

At my poppits school, they try to encourage the kids to walk to school to save the planet, you know from pollution and stuff. Thing is it’s kinda hard to get the kids on board and it’s become a bit of a family joke now cos I say “come on we’re saving the planet!” and my little horrors sweet cherubs chime, “and mummy’s bum”, nice huh!

Anyways I’ve decided to do something about it once and for all, so I joined a group 5k a day keeps the fat at bay! (anyone who usually tunes in knows I’m bonkers so this won’t surprise you) It’s an open group join if you dare here!

So far so good, I’m currently on day 9 and have had all the delights that the good old British weather has to offer, spring sun, wind and rain, and my personal fave snow blizzard!

So I reckon when the chips are down, the girl done good!

I’ll keep you posted and if my bum shrinks sufficiently I may even share a snap!

littlepoppits says NO to bullying

Featured

My blogging chum over at let the wild flowers grow has been struggling with bullying at her kid’s school and I figured this really sucks.

At my kid’s school they run an anti bullying campaign, all the kids design a poster to show how horrible bullying is and the winner gets a book token. It’s a great idea and it really makes the kids think about the issue and how horrible it is.

Of course there is always going to be that kid who keeps on bullying, and even the teacher who doesn’t listen or see, but if we can get our kids to see it’s not right, then hopefully they will have the strength to tell someone and stand up for their friends.

So come on guys, join in the campaign and stop those bullies, it’s gotta be worth a shot!
