yikes I’ve entered a half marathon!

I got it booked quick as a flash before I bottled out!

But hey, wrap your eyeballs around this hill, a worn out mumma could conk out up there!

If I could roll down it would be kinda fun, but I’m guessing it’s not allowed.

So far I’ve clocked up 195K , and now I just need to master the art of not falling flat on my face!

I fell for a third time yesterday when I pretty gracefully nose-dived into the road. Lucky for me no injuries, just a huge bruise and heaps of blood. (don’t worry I am so milking this at home right now!)

One things for sure I’m gonna be heading over to the gorgeous Oh Lidia for her delicious smoothie breakfast recipes, and heaps of other yummy stuff to keep me going.

So there we are guys, let’s see if I can shrink this mummas rhino butt for good!

saving the planet and mummys bum! part 2

Ok so I dropped off the blogging radar for a while there (again), but hey I’ve been working my butt off literally!

Hey guy’s remember back in part 1 I joined a cool running group on facebook, 5k a day keeps the fat at bay! The challenges are bronze: 5k per week in one run, silver run a total of 35k per week, gold run 5k every day.

I found silver works best for me and I’ve just finished week 5, for a butt busting total of 175k so far. Join in with me here, it’ll be fun!

I’m still not sure how I’m doing this!!??, but I’m starting to love it! I’m even thinking of signing up to a local half marathon. (If you can hear laughter right now that’ll be my proper cheeky family) Tell you what though, this girl is so gonna show em!

As for my bum, well I can’t share a snap just yet cos it still looks like this:

about the size of 2x rhinoceros’ bums!

Diary of a haggard mother: mothers day memories

I always seem to keep my cards out for as long as possible, but today I started to move them to make way for our Easter wishes. My card from my youngest caught my eye and I remembered her little poem and figured I would share it with you.

She’s quite the poet, but not so much a conventional one!

roses are red, violets are blue, (sorry about this), I like to pee in the toilet, so you should too!

from Hollie, p.s some mummy fun!

saving the planet and mummy’s bum!

I lost my blogging mojo for a bit there, but yay it’s back!

At my poppits school, they try to encourage the kids to walk to school to save the planet, you know from pollution and stuff. Thing is it’s kinda hard to get the kids on board and it’s become a bit of a family joke now cos I say “come on we’re saving the planet!” and my little horrors sweet cherubs chime, “and mummy’s bum”, nice huh!

Anyways I’ve decided to do something about it once and for all, so I joined a group 5k a day keeps the fat at bay! (anyone who usually tunes in knows I’m bonkers so this won’t surprise you) It’s an open group join if you dare here!

So far so good, I’m currently on day 9 and have had all the delights that the good old British weather has to offer, spring sun, wind and rain, and my personal fave snow blizzard!

So I reckon when the chips are down, the girl done good!

I’ll keep you posted and if my bum shrinks sufficiently I may even share a snap!

littlepoppits says NO to bullying

My blogging chum over at let the wild flowers grow has been struggling with bullying at her kid’s school and I figured this really sucks.

At my kid’s school they run an anti bullying campaign, all the kids design a poster to show how horrible bullying is and the winner gets a book token. It’s a great idea and it really makes the kids think about the issue and how horrible it is.

Of course there is always going to be that kid who keeps on bullying, and even the teacher who doesn’t listen or see, but if we can get our kids to see it’s not right, then hopefully they will have the strength to tell someone and stand up for their friends.

So come on guys, join in the campaign and stop those bullies, it’s gotta be worth a shot!

Half-term fun at Saltern Copse

Here at littlepoppits i’m just about keeping my head above water really enjoying half-term!

We had a great adventure yesterday which I thought I’d share with you. We had a lovely nature walk at a beautiful beauty spot near us, Saltern Copse in Chichester Harbour. We like to get a large stick and attach things we find on our walk to it with string and keep in the garden to remember our fun times!

here’s some pics:

Diary of a haggard mother: my cheeky little valantine!

Ok, so Valantines day is a time to spread the love right? well my cutie pie youngest thinks so and sent me this adorable poem:

roses are red

violets are blue

if you love me

I love you!

cute huh!

On the flip side, my cheeky little man sends his poor old mum, aka me, this not so adorable ode:

Roses are red

and violets are blue

if you eat too much

you’ll get a big Bum

like mum!

Oh well guess you can’t win em all!

Kids God love em!

folksy for chickens and snowballs!

I was chuffed to bits when I got my mitts on this beautiful Oil painting “Folksy Chicken” by Karin Naylor. She is an amazing self-taught artist, painting with vibrant colours for an impressionistic style.

I won it in a giveaway at her blog rosemary lavander and thyme and unless you count a carton of grapefruit juice I’ve never won anything before! If you haven’t come across this awesome blog before you should hop on over now!

Meanwhile, down at littlepoppits we woke up to a blanket of snow. We don’t get much of the stuff here so before school the kids had to have a snowball fight! The chooks were not impressed and hid behind the trees, but the kids loved it!

Diary of a haggard mother: Oh the joy of the dentist!

A trip to the dentist is always something I dread but it’s the waiting room that really gets my goat!

See something always goes down when my littlepoppits hit the scene, and our latest visit was no different!

My eldest heads for the joke book to continually recite jokes to all in earshot and many who are not! (kinda cute I guess). Meanwhile my boy has spotted the water machine and what with the lady next to him tutting and the pool of water on the floor, looks like he’s on cup 10 at least!

What to do, well right or wrong I told a porky, I quietly whispered that there was a camera connected to the police station watching and anymore messing around and we would probably get put in jail! That seemed to work and he moved away from the water machine pretty quick! So I was hopeful that I was looking like a good mum in control.

Not a chance, a quick glance to my left and my youngest is scoffing sweets she’s smuggled in past me!

Oh well. Kids god love em.
