Diary of a haggard mother: Stop fighting kids!

Ok, so trying to get the kids to spread the love and not fight so much over the week-end  pretty much failed!

Yeah, they might look dead cute in their picture (and lets face it, I love em to bits), but they sure can have their moments!

The thing is it’s usually over something so crazy, like bathtime when they argue over whose bubbles are whose! Or when getting in the car, whose turn it is to sit where!

Then the kids are at war, and me, well I’m like a peacemaker with close to zero chance of success! No one can hear me anyways, it’s too loud!

So what to do? well other than stick my head in the sand I have decided to get tough, share the love or no pocket-money!

Will it work? I’ll keep you posted!

  1. Did it work? Do tell. I find that taking away (or threatening to take away) TV & video game privileges really makes my kids shape up in a hurry! There’s almost nothing more stressful than fighting kids, for sure. I love your blog! And thanks for posting on mine, it’s nice to find a fellow chicken and kid lover. 🙂 And just curious, do you live in the UK? If so, I’m so jealous. I’m a big anglophile. 🙂

    • yeah it has worked! also i put up a sad face on my chalk board if they do it, and when friends and family come round the kids don’t like them to see it. I do live in the UK, don’t be jealous raining heaps here! xx

      • Oh! I was right with my first guess. 🙂 Very cool! How do your chooks survive the rain? Do they still like to forage in it? Our rainy season is coming soon too, and I’m nervous about it.

Spill the beans!
